Gamification in education: A critical analysis

Abstract:
The learners in each era have their peculiar attributes, but present learners are very different plus unique. They are called as digital natives. They are witnessing the dynamic growth in digital technologies and growing at their age. The researches proved that the teaching style should be in accordance with learning styles of learner if you want better learning outcomes. The constructivism approach emphasizes on learning by doing & learning from the environment. The Child psychology always prefer games or play over boring process of rote memorization. The advent in the field of gamification as an entertainment can be used successfully in education, and is in use also brings positive results in learning outcomes. The present paper critically evaluates the pros & cons of gamification in education, its best utilization & long-lasting effects on learner and educational system through meta-analysis.
