Teaching competency and aptitude among the teacher-trainees with respect to their academic background

The purpose of the study was to understand the relationship between teaching aptitude and teaching competencies of teacher-trainees with respect to their academic background. A sample of 200 trainee teachers of Aurangabad city was taken for the study. The sample included both male and female trainees, the researcher used Teaching Aptitude Scale (TAS) for the study. It was found that there is significant correlation between teaching competency and teaching aptitude among trainee teachers. It is also found out that there is positive co-relationship between academic background and teaching aptitude of trainee teachers.
