<span class="style21">Abstract:</span><span class="style3"> A field experiment was conducted in Nadia, West Bengal, India, during 2009 and 2010 to investigate the effects of organic manure and biofertilizers on the growth and flowering of <em>Rosa</em> cv. Madgod. The treatments comprised T1=control, T2= mustard cake at 400 g/m2, T3= mustard cake at 400 g+phosphate solubilising bacteria (PSB) at 1 g+<em>Azotobacter</em> at 1 g/m2, T4=neem cake at 400 g/m2, T5=neem cake at 400 g+PSB at 1 g+<em>Azotobacter</em> at 1 g/m2, T6=linseed cake at 400 g/m2, T7=linseed cake at 400 g/m2+PSB at 1 g+<em>Azotobacter</em> at 1 g/m2, T8=mustard cake at 200 g+linseed cake at 200 g+PSB at 1 g+<em>Azotobacter</em> at 1 g/m2, T9=neem cake at 200 g+linseed cake at 200 g+PSB at 1 g+<em>Azotobacter</em> at 1 g/m2 and T10=neem cake at 200 g+mustard cake at 200 g+PSB at 1 g+<em>Azotobacter</em> at 1 g/m2. The greatest plant height (66.30 cm) was recorded with T5, followed by T3 (63.81). The minimum plant height was obtained from the control (53.11 cm). T5 also recorded the maximum stalk length (21.86 cm), followed by T3 (21.73 cm). The maximum stalk diameter (0.40 cm) was obtained from T6. The longest (3.03 cm) and shortest (2.66 cm) flower bud were recorded with T5 and control, respectively. The maximum flower diameter (2.50 cm) was observed with T5, followed by T7 (2.46 cm). Plants treated with T5 had the maximum number of flowers (201.03), followed by T3 (166.88). The vase lise (6.0 days) of the flowers was maximum under T5.</span></p>
